Greg Carpenter

The Reverend Greg Carpenter was born in Toronto and raised in Oakville. His undergraduate studies were at the

Faculty of Music, University of Toronto in Vocal Performance and in the Opera Division. 

He also studied in England at the Britten Pears School in Aldeburgh. He has worked as a recitalist and in opera and

was a member of the Canadian Opera Company Chorus for 10 years.

After living in Vancouver for 5 years, Greg returned home and to school. He began his studies towards a

Master of Divinity degree from the University of Trinity College at the University of Toronto, and graduated in May 2006.

Greg was ordained a Deacon in May 2007 and served at Christ Church Deer Park since June 2007.

In January 2008, Greg was ordained to the priesthood by the Rt. Rev. Patrick Yu. 

Greg was appointed Associate Priest at Christ Church in June 2008.

It is with great happiness that Greg began his appointment as Incumbent of St Jude’s, Wexford on May 1, 2010.

Reverend

Derek A. Stapleton

The Rev. Derek A Stapleton was made Deacon in March 1967 and ordained priest in January 1968. 

For 31 years he served as a parish priest in the Diocese of North Eastern Caribbean and Aruba and

in the Diocese of Barbados.  He also taught at Codrington College in the Barbados for three years. 

He did his undergraduate studies in Theology at Codrington College, Barbados, and Huron College in London, Ontario. 

He obtained graduate degrees with a focus on Pastoral Theology along with supervisory training in

Pastoral Counselling in the United States and Canada.  He is a member of CAPPE (Canadian Association

for Pastoral Practice and Education).  Rev. Stapleton returned to Canada in 1999. 

He came to the parish of St Jude as Interim-Priest-in-charge in 2000, and subsequently has been serving

as an Assistant Priest.  He is also Priest-in Charge of the Anglican Church of St. Bede in the Diocese of Toronto.
