Do you buy groceries, gas, household items, shop at department stores, do you eat in at restaurants, go to the movies or need gifts for holidays, birthday and special events?
FundScrip is a fundraising program that lets the Church of St. Jude (Wexford) raise much needed funds simply by purchasing gift cards to the stores you are already shopping at.
For example: you purchase a $100 grocery card and you will receive a $100 grocery card and a percentage of your purchase will be donated to the Church of St. Jude (Wexford).
We encourage you to invite your family members, friends, co-workers and neighbours to participate in FundScrip as well. After all, they probably buy groceries and gas just like you do.
How does this work?
1. Download/print form and fill it out with the quantity of cards for each retailer and sum up your order total (there are also printed paper forms available in the office).
2. Payment in 3 modes: Cash, Cheque or E-Transfer (refer to description below).
3. Drop off your payment + filled order form in a labeled + sealed envelope in the secure Mailbox at the Church of St. Jude (wexford).

Submit the filled order form with a note that an E-transfer was sent.

St Luke the Evangelist.
On-line options worship services. Our services are primarily available through our Facebook page, and are linked to the home page of our website, www.stjudewexford.ca. Zoom information for Sundays: 857 6600 0074 / Passcode: 449811
St. Jude YouTube. Please subscribe the St. Jude Wexford YouTube channel by scanning the QR code. The mid-week prayers have transition from Facebook to YouTube for easier accessibility.
Office Hours. The parish office is open Tuesday to Friday from 9:00am – Noon.
Our Food Bank. The Deacon’s Pantry Food Bank is open every Wednesday (10:00am – Noon) as an essential service to our community.
Monthly Bilingual services. On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month we celebrate the cultural diversity of our parish in more intentional way, using (and providing) both English and Spanish throughout the service.
Bible Buddies Sunday School. Our Sunday school program is offered at the 10:30 service on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. Classes are held in the Britton Room.
Britton Room rental. Between October 14 – November 1 the Britton Room will be used by a film crew shooting a documentary in the area for crew holding, wardrobe, and make up area. This will include Sundays. Carolyn has reached out to groups who normally use this space to coordinate alternative options. Thanks for your understanding.
Soup Lunch for Patronal. On Sunday October 25, the feast of St Simon & St Jude, we will have a soup lunch at coffee hour. If you would like to volunteer to bring a pot of soup or bread to share, please sign up at the back of the church.
Christmas Angels 2026. Our Christmas outreach program, helping give some of the joy of Christmas to clients of our Food Bank is back. For more information, please contact Martha Baquero or Kevin Steffler through the office. Sign up Sundays will be October 25 & November 1.
Halloween Trick or Treat Stop. If you can donate any candy to add to this effort or would like to help hand it out – this would be appreciated. Be sure to share this news and include us on Saturday October 31 while out trick or treating. We will start at 5:00 pm on October 31 while quantities last.
Celebration of All Souls. This year our observance of All Souls will be included into our 10:30 service, along with the Feast of All Saints on November 1. If you would like the name of a loved one remembered at this service, please add their name to the book of remembrance or contact the church office.
“Restock the Pantry” Food Drive. The leaves are changing but the need for staple food item remains high. Please consider those less fortunate as you restock your own pantry. The shelves in our food bank continually (and desperately) need re-stocking with staple items. Items in constant need include lentils (red & brown), split peas, oatmeal, brown beans, and instant coffee. Thank you for your help.
Holy Rollers. Our indoor carpet bowling group meets on Fridays at 9:45am in the Hall. All are welcome.
Next Generation Ministry: Ignite. The weekly meetings of our Deanery Next Generation Ministry will begin meeting at St Timothy, Agincourt on Wednesday 23. This ministry includes a Children’s program (for those in grades 3-6), and a Parent’s Cafe. Spread the word and see you there!
Prayers during the week at St Jude’s. Throughout the year, we live-stream prayer services on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in both English and Spanish (they also get linked to the homepage of our website).

Supporting the life and ministry of St Jude’s. As we continue this season initiated by the gift of the Holy Spirit among us, we are reminded of the many ways we are inspired to do the work rooted in that gift through generosity and hospitality. The Corporation is deeply grateful for your ongoing support to the life and work of the parish.
Last week we held 4 online services engaging people looking for prayer and connection. We also provided food to 57 households (representing 212 individuals), with 3 new families registered on Wednesday October 14. Campaña de recolección de alimentos “Reabastecer la despensa”. Las hojas cambian de color, pero la necesidad de alimentos básicos sigue siendo alta. Por favor, tenga en cuenta a los más necesitados al reponer su propia despensa. Los estantes de nuestro banco de alimentos necesitan continuamente (y urgentemente) ser reabastecidos con productos básicos. Entre los artículos más necesarios se encuentran: lentejas (rojas y carmelitas), alverjas secas, avena, frijoles y café instantáneo. Gracias por su ayuda.
