Covid-19 protocols

Green Phase Covid protocols. Many of the previous restrictions have been lifted in the parish for those attending worship services. We request that those attending services indoors continue to wear masks. Please see our full announcements on how this impacts on those attending worship at St Jude, Wexford.

We continue to offer an on-line option for all worship services. Apart from being available by Zoom and through our Facebook page, the worship services are always linked to the home page of our website, www.stjudewexford.ca.

The parish office is open, Tuesday to Friday (during the morning).

The Deacon’s Pantry Food Bank also continues to operate every Wednesday (10:00am – Noon) as an essential service to our community under continued strict Covid-19 protocols.

Weekdays:

Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: Facebook Live streamed prayers at 9:30am (English), followed by a prayer service in Spanish (approximately at 10:00am).

Weekends:

What worship is like at St Jude’s

Sunday mornings:

We are a liturgically vibrant parish; enjoying the breadth of the Anglican tradition in worship.
At appropriate times of year, a moderate amount of incense is incorporated into our celebration of Holy Eucharist. Please note: Incense is always used at our monthly Misa en Español.

Holy Eucharist at 8 am (at the Lady Altar)

A said service of Holy Eucharist using traditional language. A homily is preached at this service. The service is taken from the Book of Common Prayer, starting on page 67.

Morning Prayer at 9:45 am (at the Lady Altar)

A said service of Morning Prayer using contemporary language led by the liturgical assistants of the day. A service leaflet is provided.

Sung Eucharist at 10:30 am (at the High Altar)

This is the main service when the community gathers. This service of Holy Eucharist is led from the High Altar and is supported by our Organist and Choir with hymns and other musical components. This service uses contemporary language; starting on page 185 of the Book of Alternative Services. This service is primarily celebrated in English with some portions spoken in Spanish. A leaflet with the text of the service is provided with everything you will need to participate. Larger print versions of the leaflet are available. Hearing aid devices can also be made available if needed.

At appropriate times throughout the year, baptisms are celebrated at this service. Please inquire with Fr Greg if you are interested in the sacrament of baptism.

On the third Sunday of each month prayers for healing are available after the services; please speak with Fr Greg if you are looking for this ministry. At this time, because of Covid-19, anointing is not being offered.

From September to June, an interactive and growing Church school experience (Bible Buddies) is offered in the Britton Room. *While we have been under Covid-19 protocols, our Sunday school has not been meeting. We plan for this vital ministry to resume as soon as it is safe for us to do so.

On the first Saturday of each month we celebrate the Holy Eucharist in Spanish in the Church. The mass starts at 6pm. A leaflet with the text of the service and a hymn booklet is provided.
